Sudatonic Therapy

Sudatonic infrared body wraps originated in Paris in the 1990s by Dr. Yves Loones.  The Sudatonic system was first introduced to American estheticians in 2002 at the International Esthetic and Spa conference in Las Vegas and quickly gained popularity for its health and esthetic benefits.

Sudatonic therapy is an electric-heated body wrap treatment.  You are ‘wrapped’ in a specialized blanket that emits infrared rays, which have for years been used to achieve several health benefits, which include detoxification, improved circulation, decreased inflammation, improved sleep and helps to boost your immune system.  Infrared body wraps are also very relaxing, promoting stress relief with a sense of calm and well-being.  Sudatonic treatments are typically done in 8-12 sessions.  The number of sessions needed is determined by client goals and other factors like overall health, diet, and genetics.

Sudatonic treatments are also one of the best stress-relieving therapies available at AMT Massage Therapy, but the benefits extend well beyond your state of mind.  Sudatonic body wrap treatments facilitate detoxification, reduce acne and hyperpigmentation, dimmish stretch marks and cellulite, help you slim down by promoting water retention release, and increase core metabolic function—you can potentially lose up to five pounds, 3 inches, and burn up to 4,000 calories in one session!

Because sudatonic treatments can ramp up your body’s detoxification processes, it is important to stay hydrated after your treatment.  Your therapist will provide written after-care instructions to help you feel your best and maximize your results.  There are some contraindications for infrared body wraps, including hypertension (high blood pressure), gout, and some other chronic health conditions, like cancer.  Double check with your doctor to confirm you are a good candidate for this treatment.
